Our programme

Gymnastics is a very disciplined sport and the outlined procedures regarding codes of conduct, communication and disciplinary are there to safeguard the well-being and safe gymnastics development of your child whilst also providing the correct environment for the coaching staff to develop your child’s abilities

Although not every performer reaches national or international performance standard it is our intention to develop our gymnasts’ potential so they can be the best that they can be.

Robin Hood Gymnastics club has a fantastic reputation for developing coaches and gymnasts from beginners through to GB and England international medallists.

Our programs and specially trained team are experts at identifying potential in gymnasts as young as 4 years old.

Entry into our squad is by trial and selection only. Robin Hood Gymnastics club has qualified coaches constantly scouting for potential on a regular basis and anyone with a love and aptitude for gymnastics will be invited to trial. The gymnasts selected for trial will have been chosen for their flexibility, co-ordination, behaviour, strength and character will also be considered.

Once assessed the team will offer the child a place in the correct working group that will match the child’s development stage. This is then closely monitored to ensure at all times that each child has the opportunity to progress at their own personal pace.

To allow for this individual pace groups changes will be a feature of the progression. As all children develop at different stages it is important to avoid comparison at an early stage in a gymnasts career.
